Mary Katharine Ham has an interesting post up on the Rep. who won the Civilians Against Government Waste's "Porker of the Year" award. It does not surprise me that the winner is a Democrat. What surprises me is when you follow the link to the story from her page
here, you will see the next three are Republicans.
I hope that Republicans will soon realize that Pork spending really hurt them in the last election. It was the promise of less spending that gave them the majority in the 90's.They failed to keep that promise. That had a major role in taking them out of the majority. Until these big spenders realize their base does not want them throwing our money away, I think they will have a hard time clawing back into the majority.
